Welcome to the Stark Avionics "Builders Assistance"

and

"Finishing Center" home page!!!

This program is stricktly for Vans RV kits. The process below shows a typical program.

1. Our customer buys a quick build kit from Vans for say an RV-7. You have it shipped

     directly to us.

2. We assign an A&P to your airplane and the A&P contacts you by phone or by meeting

you here at our shop to discuss any variance you want from the original plans if any.

3. The assigned A&P (and other technicians as available) begin working on your aircraft.

4. Every 2 weeks you are updated with a detailed time log and pictures of work completed.

5. At any time or all the time that we have your aircraft project you are encouraged to come

and work on the plane. You may use our shop tools so come whenever you can.

House rules

1. We allow work only during normal business hours unless otherwise approved in advanced.

2. We bill you every 2 weeks for the work on your project. $50/hr. You can expect to have at

least 40 hours a week and most of the time more than that since we will have mutiple people

working on your project at a time. We can do everything except paint.

3. Our goal is first to help build the airplane that exceeds your expectation in time and quaility.

Please do not start a project that you can not fully fund in advanced. We are here to save

you time and show you how to put the airplane together professionally. We will not be a

     storage faciltiy.

4. Since we are also a fully certified FAA Repair Station on Columbus Metro Airport we have a

secure facility that meets the highest standards. No one works on your airplane that is not a

fully qualified employee of Repair Station S8JR933J other than you.

5. We require a 30-60 day period from the time we receive your QB kit to the time we start your

project. This time is used to schedule a specific A&P to your project. Keep in mind we are

scheduling some ones time for approximately 6 months.

6. Allow approximately 6 months to complete each aircraft. Most take approximately 1000 hours

    to complete.
